Three studios built for extraordinary imagesâbook by the hour or day.
The moment you step inside, the air hums with possibility. Cool concrete floors underfoot, the scent of aged oak from our custom-built sets, and that signature Brooklyn lightâsoft yet unfilteredâstreaming through 12-foot industrial windows. No fluff. No distractions. Just the raw materials of great photography: space, light, and time. Choose your environmentâeach designed for a different kind of story, from high-fashion editorials to intimate portrait sessions. Your shoot starts here.
Each space is a blank canvasâpick the one that fits your shoot.
We didnât just build studios. We engineered environments where light behaves exactly how you need it to. The Loft for sweeping commercial sets. The Vault for moody, textured portraits. The Atelier for quick, high-turnover product shoots. Every surface, every angle, every power outlet has been placed with intention. Because when youâre creating something extraordinary, the space shouldnât fight youâit should elevate you.
A 2,200 sq ft cathedral of light with 18-foot ceilings and a 30-foot cyclorama wall finished in seamless Belgian linen. The north-facing windows flood the space with diffused daylight from dawn till dusk, while our Profoto D4 packs and 10âx10â softboxes let you sculpt light like clay. The concrete floorsâpolished to a soft matteâreflect just enough bounce to keep shadows rich but not muddy. Perfect for large-scale commercial shoots, fashion editorials, or anything that demands room to breathe.
A 900 sq ft underground chamber where light feels like velvet. The wallsâclad in reclaimed brick from a 1920s Manhattan warehouseâabsorb and reflect in equal measure, creating a moody, textured backdrop thatâs begging for drama. A 12-foot motorized rail system lets you position your key light anywhere in the room without breaking your stride. The temperature hovers at a cool 68°F year-round, so your talent stays comfortable even under hot strobes. Ideal for portraiture, beauty close-ups, or any shoot that thrives on depth and character.
A 600 sq ft precision box designed for speed and repeatability. The walls are painted in a custom matte gray (RGB 120,120,120) to eliminate color casts, and the floor is covered in interchangeable vinyl backdropsâblack, white, or woodgrainâso you can swap scenes in under 60 seconds. A 48âx96â glass shooting table with built-in LED backlighting makes product photography effortless, while our Broncolor Siros 800 L monolights ensure consistent color temperature shot after shot. The perfect studio for e-commerce, food photography, or any project where efficiency matters as much as quality.
Every detail is designed to keep your shoot movingâwithout sacrificing quality.
Weâve spent years refining what a studio should be. Not just a room with good light, but a tool that helps you work faster, smarter, and with more control. From the moment you walk in, youâll feel the difference: power where you need it, storage where you donât, and a team that anticipates your needs before you do. Because the best shoots arenât just about the final imageâtheyâre about the flow that gets you there.
Four 4,800W/s packs with ultra-fast recycle times (0.03s at full power) and wireless AirTTL compatibility. The heads are mounted on rolling stands with 10-foot booms, so you can position them anywhere in the room without tripping over cords. The light is crisp, clean, and consistentâno color shifts, no flicker, just pure control.
Six 800W/s monolights with built-in RFS 2.2 receivers and 9-stop power ranges. The light modifiersâfrom 20â beauty dishes to 7-foot octabanksâsnap on in seconds, and the color temperature stays locked at 5600K Âą 100K. Perfect for product photography where consistency is non-negotiable.
A silent, ceiling-mounted rail that lets you reposition your key light anywhere in the room without moving a stand. The motor is controlled via a wireless remote, so you can make micro-adjustments from across the room. The rail itself is powder-coated matte black to disappear into the ceilingâno distractions, just precision.
A tempered glass table with a frosted underside and built-in 5000K LED backlighting. The surface is large enough for full-plate food photography or small product sets, and the edges are beveled to eliminate reflections. The legs are adjustable, so you can shoot at table height or waist heightâno more crouching.
Three interchangeable backdropsâmatte black, seamless white, and reclaimed woodgrainâmounted on a ceiling track in The Atelier. Swap them in under a minute without taping or clamping. The vinyl is thick enough to resist wrinkles but flexible enough to roll up for storage. No more fighting with paper rolls that tear or crease.
A zoned HVAC system keeps each studio at a constant 68°F, so your talent stays comfortable and your gear doesnât overheat. The airflow is silent and directionalâno drafts, no hot spots, just consistent temperature from the first shot to the last. The system is serviced quarterly by a licensed HVAC technician.
Each studio has a locked, climate-controlled storage room for your equipment. The rooms are lined with foam padding to protect your gear, and the shelves are adjustable to fit everything from camera bags to light stands. Access is via a keypad code, which weâll share when you book. No more hauling gear back and forth to your car.
Every booking includes a production assistant to help with setup, breakdown, and anything in between. Need a C-stand moved? A gel changed? A last-minute prop sourced? Theyâre there. Our PAs are all working photographers or assistants themselves, so they know the lingo and the workflow. No hand-holdingâjust support when you need it.

A few simple rules to keep your shoot running smoothly.
We want your experience at GraniteGroveGate to be seamless, so weâve put together a few guidelines to help everything run smoothly. These arenât meant to restrict your creativityâtheyâre here to protect the space, your gear, and the people working with you. Follow these, and weâll all have a great day.
Check-in starts 15 minutes before your booking. Our production assistant will meet you at the door, give you a quick tour, and answer any questions. Food and drink are allowed in the studios, but please keep it contained. No open containers near gear or backdrops, and clean up after yourself. We provide complimentary coffee, tea, and water, and thereâs a fridge in the lounge for your snacks. If youâre shooting food, let us know in advanceâwe have a separate prep area to keep your set clean.
Our gear is available for use during your booking, but please treat it with care. If you damage something, youâll be responsible for the cost of repair or replacement.
